Goodnight Whatever You Are 7

Here is part 7 of the GWYA series. I've had this one done forever now, meant to get it out at Halloween with part 6 and didnt. It's getting harder and harder to find good material to make these. We'll see what I come up with next time I guess. Enjoy monster freaks!

Shinki Chen And His Friends 1971

Heavy Psychedelic guitar meltdown solo effort from "Japan's Jimi Hendrix" Shinki Chen of Speed, Glue and Shinki fame. Pretty Fuzzy, mellow and Laid back. Total stoner material here. A great album and I Love it!

Executioner-In The Name Of Metal 1986

Hailing from Boston of all places. This is a killer piece of upbeat punk metal madness . Not quite crossover, more in the Venom vein. Even though the album is called "In the Name of Metal", this is really more of punk outing. I love the vocals. sometimes there is a slight Misfits vibe. These guys had to be listening to punk, hardcore and thrash at the time. The bassist went on to be in Post Mortem and Upside Down Cross. Amazing record, loved it!

Active Ingredients-Bringing Down The Big Boys 1985

Another blast from Lexington Kentucky's early punk gods for all my hometown friends. Fantastic punk madness!!! Get it Trust me!

Joan Rivers-What Becomes A Semi Star Most? 1985

Here's a classic by Miss Joan Rivers, whom I totally love to death. My first Joan memories are watching her on the tonight show with my aunt, who hated her ha ha! Pure comedic genius!

Detente- Recognize No Authority 1986 + Demo 1989

Ok here's one for my Friend Pat. This is a fantastic fucking thrash album with some of the hands down best female vocals (Dawn Crosby R.I.P) out there. A great mix of punk elements and thrash music. I love this album!! I also added their 4Th demo, which is pretty cool too. There actually back on the scene now with Ann Boleyn (Hellion) on vocals. This is total thrasher enjoy!!!

The Accused-Martha Splatterheads Maddest Stories Ever Told 1988

Absolute crossover classic here from Seattle's Kings of Splatterpunk!! Not my favorite Accused album at this point but this was the one that introduced me to them. Totally amazing punk metal hybrid with killer horror movies lyrics and incredible vocals, cant really think of anyone better in this category. I have loved them since I bought this in 88 and I liked these guys comeback album a couple years back also. That said, I totally hated the follow up with out the vocalist. I just gotta have Blaine's vocals, otherwise there just another Gruntruck, just kidding of course. These guys are complete and utter GODS in my book!!!! Enjoy.

Tender Mercies OST 1983

Great soundtrack and an even better movie. Totally fantastic! Hear Robert Duvall sing and that's a good thing for the most part. Check it out!

Johnny "Guitar" Watson-What the Hell Is This? 1979

Just got into this one recently, but I had seen the cover before and had no idea the awesome funk that lay inside. Then I got around to giving this little masterpiece a spin!! I knew on the spot I had to have all this dudes albums. On top of that I liked all of them, but this one might be the best. The title track is completely amazing and has one of the wickedest funk bass lines ever laid to vinyl. However "Proud of You" is probably my favorite. An unlikely ballad but the lyrics are just hilarious,. A very funky album that's still totally fresh today!!!

Gore Shriek Comics Vol.1-6

Here is something a little bit different. I loved these comics when I was younger. Here's the first 6 in pdf. This classic cover totally sold me on these comics. I remember seeing it in Fangoria and flipping out, I just had to have it and still do. I'll try to get more comics up if people like these.

Active Ingredients EP 1984

Lexington Kentucky hometown heroes!!! A total blast of bad ass punk from 1984! Cant believe these guys didn't get huge. I'm sure if they had been from anywhere but Kentucky everyone would know there names. Truly classic stuff!

Honey Bane-Girl on the Run 1980

Love this Single some reason. Its really kind of bad in a lovable way. I really dig Honey Bane's awkward vocals and with Crass as a backing band I had to end up loving it. Not for everyone I'm sure, but if you like classic punk and girl vocals, this is for you.

Red Foxx-Sly Sex 1960

Well here I am again. I've been on a real comedy kick lately and Redd Foxx has been at the top of the Heep. This is one of probably 50 albums he released on Dooto Records. No further explanation should be necessary.
