THE PLAYHOUSE PRESENTATION OF FRANKENSTEIN

Here's a killer one I just ripped a few days ago, this one must be rare, because I couldn't find out anything worthwhile about it. I think I originally picked it up at a Flea market in Southern Indiana, but maybe not. Anyway this is a great version of the Frankenstein story and man what a great cover! The back of the album has a awesome black & white drawing of the artwork, for kids to color I suppose, thankfully mine is still clean. Enjoy!

HAP & MARTHA PALMER - WITCHE"S BREW

Here's a very interesting album for you folks today. Though at first this looks like your average Halloween record, its really a speech therapy album? WTF right? Who knew witches had teaching abilities. Don't let any of that stop you from checking it out though, because I must admit the title track is brutally addictive. When I first heard it I just thought it was goofy, but then I got the urge to play it over and over again to the point that I picked up my guitar and learned it just to sing and play it around the house! Certainly not for everyone but I'm sure there are plenty of you who will enjoy this little oddity.

OSCAR BRAND AND HIS YOUNG FRIENDS - TRICK OR TREAT 1979

Alright here's some great Halloween shit for you today, had this album for quite a while before I got around to listening to it, man what was I waiting for, this is fantastic. Very folksy sing along songs that explore Halloween and various other weird themes performed in a storyteller style, with the kids even get in on the fun sometimes, which I love. Kind reminiscent of the Kay Lande and Wade Denning Album I put up a while back, but not quite that brilliant. If I had this one when I was kid, I'm sure I would have worn it out, just killer stuff. Of course I really like this cover also, all the cool library stickers make it even cooler. Would love to own this one someday. I know at least a few of you are really going to like this, you know who you are. Also I cant go without mentioning that this guy has written like hundreds of weird songs, spanning almost any and every topic, fucking crazy, you know this dude has got to be strange. ALVIN SCHWARTZ - SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK BY GEORGE S. IRVING 1986

OK I hadn't put up anything lately that might appeal strictly to my monster music fans, so here's a little album of scary ghost stories. I remembered a couple of these stories from the book I had when I was a kid, wish I had it now. I think there are others, I will have to look into that. MONSTER CHRISTMAS MASH 1974

Well unfortunately it is Christmas time again and even though despise Christmas and all that comes with it, I have to post this forgotten little gem, I cant believe I had two albums to post for Christmas. Not the best monster record out there but its got to be the best monster Christmas album. You may have heard the title track from this on one of my "Goodnight Whatever You Are!"comps, if so you know what your in for, if not please go get that first. Filled with tons of cool and weird monster themed Christmas tunes, that will either make your day or make you want to shoot yourself shortly after hearing it, personally I dig it, but probably for all the wrong reasons. You decide monster fanatics!

Here's one out of four Edger Allan Poe story albums by Richard Taylor, I will try to get the other three up this week. These albums were available for order in Famous Monsters magazine and in Creepy magazine from the 60's up until the very early 80's. These recordings are very cheap, but quite effective. Sometimes this dude does sound truly crazy, like he's really on the brink of madness. I love these records..Enjoy!
